Chapter 582: Chaos Gods

The Qi of Primordial Chaos is the root of all transformations.

When heaven and earth first opened, there were no beings between them, hence it was called Chaos.

After the Primordial Chaos was opened, there was the turning of the heavens and the rotation of the earth, the operation of celestial phenomena, the coming of summer and winter, and the equal paths of the two solstices.

As that immense pressure descended, Li Qi felt… pure Chaos, as if all things were compressed together, forming a violent, raging mass of Chaos!

All Qi originated from this.

All matter was born from this place.

The Void Realm is empty and without substance, and the deep source emerges from the Innate. Something is formed in Chaos, born before heaven and earth; it is the most primordial Qi, the earliest Qi, the ancestor of all Qi.

It was just like… that tiny god named Xinluo, with such high purity, but this was not only high in purity, but its quantity was also terrifyingly vast! The opponent’s magical power seemed capable of easily tearing apart countless world clusters!

Li Qi couldn't even imagine how so much Martial Dao Inner Qi came to be.

How many worlds had been consumed, after all?

If calculated in units of billions, would that be enough?

Probably not enough.

At least tens of billions of worlds must have been completely swallowed and digested to condense such a vast amount of Martial Dao Inner Qi!

Li Qi was incomparably shocked, and as the opponent descended, he began to feel his Inner World tremble violently, the heavenly gates shaking, the earthly axis rocking, and the ancestors of Origin Qi within his body, the very foundation of heaven and earth, seemed to be on the verge of being decomposed into Martial Dao Inner Qi.

Wait, just at this moment—

Li Qi suddenly thought of the Shen Yijun.

The Shen Yijun, as a descendant of a Celestial Court Lineage True God, why would he cultivate the Martial Dao? And he seemed to have extremely high Martial Dao talent.

Why would a god of the Ziwei Heavenly Court Lineage be in the form of a mass of Martial Dao Inner Qi?

Furthermore, the cultivation method for entering the Great Fire was given to him by the Shen Yijun, meaning this thing was originally intended for the Shen Yijun, which is why it had the nature of Martial Dao Inner Qi?

But… was this truly Martial Dao Inner Qi?

Suspicion arose in Li Qi’s Heart-Nature.

As a Shaman, Li Qi himself could create Martial Dao Inner Qi. After he learned the method of ‘Circulation,’ he could artificially create Martial Dao Inner Qi, and he had used this move before to gain an advantage in his struggle with the Demonic Prince. (For details, see Chapter 464)

From every perspective, this was Martial Dao Inner Qi—that intense, chaotic quality, as if all Qi was forcibly squeezed together, losing its original properties and uniformly transforming into a single magma-like substance.

But…

Li Qi always felt that Martial Dao Inner Qi was missing something compared to the colossal entity descending before him.

What was it? What was it?

What on earth was it?

Li Qi couldn't figure it out, so he prepared to ask.

The moment he was about to speak—

The massive existence descending from the sky suddenly leaked a trace of Qi, launching an attack on Li Qi.

The sudden attack caught Li Qi completely off guard. The Shaman's combat prowess and instincts were fully displayed at this moment; he was directly struck by a mass of something resembling Martial Dao Inner Qi!

With a bang!

Li Qi’s entire Physical Body shattered instantly!

His left hand was severed at the root, his other hand had only three fingers remaining, a huge hole was in his abdomen, most of his internal organs had vanished without a trace, and he could see half of a lung twitching, with his heart vaguely visible inside!

Through the hole in his chest, one could see that even his spine was broken, and his lower body was completely numb, though even if he had sensation, it would be useless, as both his knees and shins were a bloody mess, making further movement impossible.

With such severe injuries, one would assume he would expire in the next second, no matter how one thought about it.

However, fortunately, Li Qi was a Rank Six, and these injuries were not enough to instantly kill him for now.

Almost in the next instant, his Spirit Soul detached from his Physical Body, directly carrying his Inner World and abandoning his material Physical Body.

Immediately after, under the control of his Spirit Soul, matter from his Inner World surged out, rapidly constructing a brand new body.

This was not without cost.

The Physical Body and Inner World are inherently strongly linked. The previous attack not only harmed his Physical Body but also inflicted severe damage upon Li Qi’s Inner World!

He was barely clinging to life by a thread, and that Martial Dao Inner Qi continued to devour his Inner World.

Within his Inner World, like a swarm of bees, this Martial Dao Inner Qi was crushing his Five Mountains and Four Greats, devouring all his inner body spirits…

How to describe it?

Nanobots running rampant, that's probably the scene.

The entire Inner World was continuously devoured, continuously transformed into the opponent's power, devoured, then split and proliferated, then continued to devour, an infinite loop.

Even if he reconstructed a new body, under such devouring, he was still continuously being harmed, and it would probably only take ten seconds to kill him.

Li Qi quickly swallowed a Medicinal Pill to replenish various types of Qi needed for recovery.

However, this only extended his life by a few seconds, as this devouring seemed endless; as long as he was alive, it would continue.

If the opponent followed up with another strike at this moment, Li Qi would immediately die without a burial place.

However, the opponent only attacked once and did not pursue.

So, Li Qi seized these few seconds. He used the method of Circulation to condense Martial Dao Inner Qi himself, then fused with it, ultimately diluting this Martial Dao Inner Qi. Then, carrying this external Martial Dao Inner Qi, he spent a few seconds to finally gather it at his fingertip and expel it all!

The instant it was expelled, Li Qi’s fingertip directly exploded, and a sharp, clear sound resonated in the air. The air vibrated, and a brilliant wave of Qi could vaguely be seen slicing through the Void Realm before him with a hiss, plowing a several-thousand-li-long chasm in the Chaos above!

However, calling it a chasm was only relative to Li Qi himself.

Several thousand li, on the opponent's body, was not even as significant as a single hair.

They were simply not on the same Rank.

The opponent was at least a Rank Four!

A Rank Four True God! A true orthodox Divine Dao, and seemingly of the Ziwei Heavenly Court Lineage.

Li Qi exhaled a turbid breath. His injuries were still very severe, but fortunately, the opponent did not follow up.

Having used all his strength to neutralize the opponent's casual strike, Li Qi felt he had enough to boast about; at least ninety-nine percent of Rank Sixes couldn't do it.

However, before Li Qi could rejoice, and without time to communicate with the opponent, in the next instant, another wave of Martial Dao Inner Qi descended.

Flashes of light rained down, like the arrival of the apocalypse.

Various phenomena appeared within it: first life, then the sea, then continents, and finally an entire world, vast and boundless.

But in the next instant, these things completely disordered, mingled together, and a surge of Chaos poured down and struck.

This time, Li Qi was fully prepared to react!

His Dharma Body unfolded, supporting layer upon layer of Buddhist Heavens!

The Buddhist Heavens unfolded one layer after another, forming a great bright cloud net platform in the Void Realm above, emitting eighty-four thousand kinds of light, appearing as fifty billion variegated lotus colors, reflecting on the lapis lazuli ground, like countless suns. Innumerable pavilions, made of a hundred treasures, were adorned with millions of flower banners and immeasurable musical instruments on both sides of the platform, too numerous to fully behold.

Li Qi used the light of spiritual wisdom controlled by the White Chen Fox King Bodhisattva, manifesting his own Dharma-nature through the Buddhist Heavens, demonstrating “the Four Greats are all empty.” He intended to use the essential superiority of the Four Greats to push back this Chaos!

Even Chaos must follow the principles of the world; any object with form cannot escape the constraints of ‘earth, fire, wind, and water’—the ‘Four Greats’!

Those that exist and reside based on earth, water, fire, and wind, or those that exist and reside based on the Void Realm and various plants and trees, all kinds of living beings, all kinds of Physical Bodies, all kinds of shapes, all kinds of appearances, all kinds of lifespans, all kinds of races, all kinds of names, all kinds of Heart-Natures, all kinds of True Knowledge, all kinds of desires, all shall be eliminated!

This time, he once again pushed back the descending Chaos.

But Li Qi didn't even have time to breathe before, in a flash, the third strike came from above!

But this time, it was no longer ordinary chaotic Martial Dao Inner Qi.

Instead, it was… ordered Chaos.

Yes, as strange as it sounds, that was the reality.

Ordered, and even… capable of transforming into more forms.

This ‘ordered’ Chaos was filled with ancient, vast Qi, containing the swallowing of the wilderness and bursts of brilliant light. Countless gray mists drifted in space, then gathered.

They attacked each other, devoured each other, stirring up rolling earth, water, wind, and fire, like the destruction of a world. The earth, water, wind, and fire also collapsed into Chaos, into nothingness.

Within that Chaos, Li Qi even faintly heard a sound.

“Boom boom.” It was a colossal sound, like a large drum being struck hard with a heavy hammer.

“Boom boom.” The drum sound grew heavier, more resonant!

“Boom boom boom boom boom boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!” Then the frequency rapidly increased! Even emitting a thunder-like sound!

That was—a heartbeat!

From the ground, a surge of pressure suddenly erupted, like a fierce beast being unleashed. The ground itself could even feel the power surging from within!

The Qi wave fell like mercury, causing everything it touched to swell and deform, then emit white smoke, leaving behind a pile of black, carbonized matter. All the phenomena and Heavens supported by Li Qi's Dharma Body were overturned, the ground sank, and a deep gash appeared from the explosion site, like a bottomless abyss.

Within this Chaos, new matter and energy constantly emerged, causing everything around to dance and fluctuate. The generated energy immediately expanded to its most perfect state, like a swollen, ripe fruit, then shattered, returning to the surrounding Chaos.

Then, new ones were born again.

Cycle after cycle, like life.

In such a vigorous burst of life cycles, the Heavens could not bear it; the Buddhist Heavens, the so-called ‘Four Greats,’ were also crushed by the Chaos.

In such fluctuations, Li Qi felt a sense of vitality and vigor, the same he had first felt from the ‘Great Fire’ outside.

However, this vitality was full of malice towards him.

Li Qi employed all his methods, resisting wave after wave of continuously falling Chaos.

He used Shamancraft, Human Dao, Buddhism, Principle, Dao, and even various unorthodox methods, repelling ten attacks in total, exhausting all his wisdom!

However, while ten times sounds like a lot, in total, the entire battle lasted less than two minutes.

Another attack came, and this time, Li Qi completely lost his defense. All his major acupoints burst open, his body was covered in blood, and his Qi and blood rapidly drained.

Now he was truly panicked.

This thing, it couldn't really be trying to kill him, could it!?

Originally, Li Qi thought this was some kind of test, so he resisted with all his might.

But now, he had used every trick in the book, yet the opponent showed no sign of stopping. He might truly die here.

“Damn it…” Li Qi cursed.

Even if he died, he couldn't just sit and wait; he had to at least preserve his True Soul so he could reincarnate!

Thinking this, Li Qi directly released the restrictions of his Inner World, no longer caring about the Dao conflict within his body, and went all out at the same time!!

Concurrently, he unsealed the True Knowledge Dao Resonance.

He didn't really want to, as he had intended to unseal it only after comprehending ‘true courage.’

But now, he was almost dead, who cared about that anymore!

The long-absent True Knowledge Dao Resonance unfolded, sweeping through the surroundings.

At this instant, Li Qi suddenly froze.

He felt that time… seemed to have stood still.

The True Knowledge Dao Resonance clearly poured all the surrounding information into his brain. His long-empty mind suddenly felt a long-lost sense of fullness, and countless pieces of information began to be instinctively categorized.

The first thing processed was the attack from above.

Li Qi could perceive that chaotic ‘Martial Dao Inner Qi.’

It turned out that it wasn't Martial Dao Inner Qi; it was countless tiny crystals, gathered together, then condensed into a mist-like substance, falling down like hail.

Wherever this Chaos Qi passed, everything would be devoured, turning into a vacuum.

That was a true vacuum, not just the absence of air, but all Qi and all matter completely vanished, utterly consumed.

Afterward, Qi from other places surged towards this area to fill the vacuum, but upon entering, it was immediately devoured like the previous ones, becoming part of the small crystals.

This cavity grew larger and larger, causing the air to rush in faster and faster. The rapidly flowing Qi created a mournful wind within a ten-thousand-li radius, and the howling winds began to form vortices, even making it seem as if the sky itself was being forcibly torn down.

Li Qi seemed to be somewhat stunned.

Such a massive influx of information seemed to have caused his brain to freeze, leaving him rooted to the spot.

But… that wasn't actually the case.

Li Qi had merely discovered the secret of ‘Chaos.’ The long-awaited True Knowledge Dao Resonance provided countless pieces of information, and at this moment, his decades of accumulated knowledge from Shaman God Mountain, combined with countless data, created a qualitative change.

Li Qi then realized that so much information was not useless; instead, it all highlighted different situations.

In that instant, a conjecture suddenly popped into his mind.

The gods of the Star Official Lineage are worlds.

Then the Celestial Court Lineage is ‘the beginning.’

Is it possible that the Martial Dao is an imitation of ‘the beginning’?

Is Martial Dao Inner Qi essentially a degraded version of Primordial Chaos Qi?
