Chapter 911: First-class Opportunity Chen Ji's Secret

Li Qi looked around.

He couldn't exactly say 'looked,' because there was no light, no matter, and no time around him; there was only pure, directionless, and very strange space.

However, information still existed, and this information could be perceived.

As mentioned before, for beings of the Third Grade and above, external information can be false and altered, so to perceive 'truth,' one must perceive the Third Grade's true body. (For details, see Chapter 893)

Li Qi perceived the information here, gaining accurate and true information by directly perceiving the true body.

He could feel…

Here, there is no spatial direction, only space itself, so there are no dimensions, space has no direction, and thus its volume is infinitesimally small.

The three-dimensional volume, two-dimensional area, and one-dimensional length—the essence of all these is actually the extension of distance in different directions within a single dimension.

If one dimension is a single direction, then the one-dimensional volume is the length of that line, determined by the distance between two endpoints.

Similarly, if area has two directions, then it's the directions between four endpoints.

Three-dimensional volume follows this pattern.

So, what if there are no directions?

Then, there is only one endpoint.

Only one endpoint means the endpoint is itself; this is a 'point' with no volume, because it is both the beginning and the end, so its curvature is infinitely large, and spacetime curvature diverges at that point.

There's even a possibility that its left and right limits don't exist, so it doesn't approach any value. In this case, even if the concept here isn't infinite, it's undefined and undefinable.

But no matter what, because its curvature is infinitely large, even a tiny bit of energy will result in infinite density.

Because the density is infinitely large, the temperature will also be infinitely high.

So, such a directionless point is the 0-dimensional space where Li Qi is located.

A special dimension without direction.

And as zero-dimension, it naturally becomes the 'center' of all dimensions.

It's easy to understand: all dimensions must unfold from here, otherwise, they cannot define themselves. This is not just zero in a coordinate system, but the origin of all dimensions.

Without source or rotation, without length or height, nothing exists except itself.

The center of all space, the unfolding point of all dimensions. If ordinary matter were to enter, it would directly become 'fundamental units.' Only Third Grade beings, capable of self-sustaining existence, can remain here.

"Celestial Pole, it turns out it's not just the center of the Universe… but the 'center' of all space. Truly, incredible," Li Qi sighed.

With this zero-dimensional space as the center—no, that's not quite right, this zero-dimensional space has no concept of a center. It should be said… with this zero-dimensional space as the starting point, all dimensions unfold here.

A line extending from here is one dimension.

Two lines extending is two dimensions.

And so on.

And how many lines extend from here?

Li Qi took a look, and the answer was—infinitely many.

This is an infinite dimension, an infinite real number dimension, and extending it further can even reach a higher order of infinity, like the 'sum of a harmonic series that cannot be valued.'

Li Qi sighed and said, "There are truly too many secrets. How easy it would be if we could communicate only with words."

"But some things cannot be conveyed by words alone; this is inevitable. If everything could be clearly explained, everyone in this world would be a High Grade," Empress Luofu said with a smile.

"There are usually some things that aren't clearly conveyed, or things that no one can understand."

"Such places need to be confirmed with each other like this."

"Therefore, for beings of the Third Grade and above, everything recorded is hard to say. Only by witnessing it firsthand, by seeing the other party's true body, can the truth be perceived."

Listening to Empress Luofu's teaching, Li Qi nodded slightly and then said, "Then, Niangniang, since Celestial Pole is here, can I say that this is… the First Grade opportunity, right?"

If Li Qi's words were heard by others outside, it might cause an uproar.

But fortunately, only Li Qi and Empress Luofu were here, and as family, there was no need to worry so much.

Empress Luofu shook her head in denial and then said, "No, this is only half of it. Do you know why the First Grade Dao path is called 'Sun-Moon Orbit'?"

"Half? Oh, this is the origin of space, so there's also the origin of time, right? Is the so-called Sun-Moon Orbit to be understood in two aspects?" Li Qi asked.

Sun-Moon Orbit, perhaps it can be understood this way.

Sun and Moon, which are also the crow and rabbit, refer to time.

And Journey refers to the area where the Sun and Moon operate, which is space.

If understood in two parts, it becomes much easier to grasp.

From a local perspective (i.e., the perspective of matter), it's impossible to fully comprehend space. Similarly, with time, so they need to be combined.

"Not quite. You should combine the two, meaning the operation of time and space," Empress Luofu corrected.

Li Qi was a Genius, so he didn't need much explanation and immediately nodded: "Oh, I understand…"

He truly understood.

Space-time is considered a single entity because they are both synonyms for forms of motion.

Time is the measure of motion, and similarly, space is also the measure of motion.

Space's measure of motion is 'distance,' which is the 'length' of motion in different directions.

Time's measure of motion is 'length,' which is still the 'distance' of motion in different directions.

The two are intertwined and inseparable.

How is a unit of time calculated?

Speed of motion = spatial distance / temporal distance.

v = s / t.

Motion = Time / Space.

Their different ratios form all descriptions and definitions of motion; all speeds, all energies, all thoughts can be interpreted by motion.

And as is well known, space-time is variable; the only constant is 'motion' itself.

Motion is absolute.

All things are in perpetual motion; there is no absolutely static object. This is something even a child knows.

And 'Celestial Pole' is motion itself.

Moreover, from here, two directions can even unfold, just as a point can extend into a straight line in two directions.

The right side is positive, the left side is negative.

In other words, the Universe can also have two directions: one side is positive infinite dimensions, and the other side is negative infinite dimensions, and Celestial Pole is the common midpoint of both.

In other words, at this 'midpoint' where Celestial Pole is located, the Universe is in a state of balance. Developing to the left would lead to a Universe ending in 'heat death,' while developing to the right would lead to a Universe ending in 'infinite energy levels.'

The beginning of space-time is here.

Saying it this way, Li Qi completely understood.

No wonder, no wonder Sun-Moon Orbit could become an 'absolute reference frame,' could become a 'First Grade opportunity.'

Because what it controls isn't shallow things like space-time.

What Sun-Moon Orbit controls is motion itself!

It is the ultimate law rooted in all philosophy, logic, thought, and even matter: 'Motion'!

In front of such an ultimate law, Li Qi could only sigh in admiration.

Could he really resist the power of 'motion' itself?

If this is the opportunity for the First Grade, then, then… what kind of power do the other First Grade beings control?

Li Qi couldn't help but feel a little yearning.

Even something like motion can be fundamentally controlled? If it truly can be done, then it's no exaggeration to say that the foundation of matter and mind has been mastered.

Li Qi really couldn't think of anything deeper or more fundamental than 'motion.'

All spirits and matter must yield to motion itself.

Because, if there is no motion, then nothing can be perceived, and thus nothing can be born.

Thus, 'Celestial Pole' as the midpoint of all things, is indeed worthy.

Empress Luofu looked at the surprised Li Qi and then said, "However, my Dao cannot control this, so Yang Zhenqian handles everything. Unfortunately, he also failed; he can no longer control Celestial Pole."

Li Qi then withdrew his consciousness from the vast and boundless Dao Orthodoxy. He looked at Empress Luofu and said, "So, it can only be left to Shaman God Mountain, right? Then, Shaman God Mountain must have already learned this secret, and suitable Second Grade beings have already begun to try to control it."

"And now I also know this secret. Does Niangniang want me to advance to Second Grade and then try to control it?"

To be honest, Li Qi felt a little nervous when he said this.

Control Celestial Pole?

Him?

Setting aside the issue of Dao path conflict, it's uncertain when Li Qi will advance to Second Grade. Generally speaking, once one reaches Third Grade, all Mortal talents are exhausted. At this point, talent is meaningless for progress.

What truly determines the progress speed of Third Grade beings is actually only fortuitous encounters and competition.

Everyone can easily bring their talents to the peak, so what remains is essentially only the ability to process and discern various information.

"No, such a heavy responsibility should not be entrusted to you. It's just that you truly should understand these things." Empress Luofu shook her head: "Controlling Celestial Pole is not that simple; it's… too dangerous for you."

"Then why tell me?" Li Qi asked with a smile.

"…Insurance, perhaps." Empress Luofu's expression was a bit subtle.

"Then I won't discuss this. Oh, by the way, Niangniang, since that's the case, have you ever thought about the meaning behind Celestial Pole? The reason for the existence of motion, what do you think?" Li Qi changed the subject.

"As for my answer, existence itself doesn't need a reason. To speak of anything beyond existence is truly meaningless," Empress Luofu replied.

Li Qi understood.

No wonder Empress Luofu said her Dao couldn't control it. Looking at it this way, it truly is the case.

For Dao Orthodoxy, once the ultimate Dao has been found, tracing it further back is truly meaningless.

There is no more fundamental thing. Everything outside of the fundamental is non-existent, nothingness. Only in this way can infinity be contained, because infinity cannot exist in reality.

The fact that we can have "reality" is entirely because everything in the Universe is finite.

A Universe must possess many industrial characteristics; for example, it must be consistent and coherent.

Theoretically, anyone can conduct the most detailed experiments on anything in the Universe, anywhere, and arrive at consistent conclusions. A foot kicking a stone will always feel the stone's reaction force, and it's the same no matter where or how we kick.

Additionally, the environment must be self-sufficient: any problem must find its answer within the environment, without requiring the controlled to assume the existence of another external world.

If a person is born in complete darkness, you would definitely think that there must be something else in the world besides darkness—how could your consciousness arise from that pitch-black Chaos?

Therefore, the Universe must be self-sufficient and isotropic, its essence already elucidated, without needing to pursue anything beyond that.

This answer cut off Empress Luofu's Dao path.

Indeed, this answer is great, enough to push Empress Luofu to the level of a 'fundamental unit' of the Third Grade, but it cannot support her further progress; her Third Grade Dao path is broken.

The path of pursuing Dao is so terrifying. If Empress Luofu wants to advance further, she can only choose Reincarnation and reshape her life.

Moreover, this kind of re-cultivation means giving up one's 'reality,' re-immersing one's already transcendent self into that vast nothingness, completely placing one's life and death, and even 'self,' into the hands of other Third Grade beings.

Not all Third Grade beings whose Dao paths are cut off can make this decision.

Thinking of this, Li Qi couldn't help but admire those Third Grade beings willing to undergo Reincarnation.

This is truly…

Giving up one's reality, abandoning all power and status as a fundamental existence, lowering oneself to an existence that can be easily erased, and then gambling on the possibility of reshaping oneself.

Furthermore, Li Qi heard that during the confusion in the womb, the more painful memories are harder to forget… so it's best to give oneself some deep hatred.

It really is cruel.

But precisely because of this, pain is a mechanism; not forgetting pain is for the sake of life living better.

If one easily forgets pain, one will easily die.

"Then, Niangniang, you've confused me. Since you don't need me to come, and you can't use it yourself, what else can I do in this place?" Li Qi asked.

"You came yourself; I didn't invite you," Empress Luofu said.

This made Li Qi pause.

He came himself?

Wait, can one come to this place by oneself? He clearly felt special fluctuations and Empress Luofu's divine will before, which allowed him to enter.

Could it be that—

"Wait, that means, as long as one masters the secret of Celestial Pole Golden Elixir Method, anyone can come?" Li Qi asked.

"Hmm, to completely master this place, it probably requires First Grade, right? That is, this place was discovered, which is why Yang Zhenqian was… never mind that. At least for now, very few people know about this place," Empress Luofu replied to Li Qi.

Li Qi always felt she was implying something.

However, it seemed there was no need to ask further; Li Qi generally understood.

On the path of cultivation, no one knows which path is the correct one.

Therefore, until that path can be proven wrong, one can only believe that the current path being walked is correct and strive forward desperately. There is no other way.

"Then, I will work hard, and I will also pay more attention to Yu'er and Yang Ning's side," Li Qi said, cupping his hands.
