Chapter 1064: New Buddha

After an immeasurable amount of time passed, Maitreya Buddha entered Nirvana.

Maitreya Pure Land subsequently collapsed.

More than one Maitreya Buddha died.

There was also Dipamkara Buddha.

This also meant that all the Pure Lands of Buddhism had completely collapsed.

All the First Grade cultivators of the Divine Ability lineage had entered Nirvana, meaning this lineage had been completely severed.

No, because Dipamkara Buddha also entered Nirvana, it means that all the Buddhas of the past have completely perished.

But… there is still hope.

Because, before World Honored One Tathagata entered Nirvana, he once said to Sariputra, who was about to follow him into Nirvana: “Sariputra, in the future, after immeasurable, boundless, and inconceivable kalpas, you shall uphold the True Dharma, fully cultivate the Bodhisattva path, and attain Buddhahood, named Huaguang Tathagata.”

Now, immeasurable, boundless, and inconceivable kalpas have passed.

Maitreya Buddha exhausted all his foundations.

Dipamkara Buddha pushed his wisdom to its limit.

Meanwhile, on the First Grade battlefield…

Medicine King Buddha, fell.

Medicine King Buddha, with all possibilities, bought time for immeasurable, boundless, and inconceivable kalpas.

Now, Maitreya Buddha used all his power as the 'Buddhist Pagodare Buddha', Dipamkara Buddha personally taught, and Medicine King Buddha resisted the outcome of all the First Grade chaotic battles.

Finally, their efforts bore fruit.

In the 'future world', in this distant future, a future Buddha was cultivated.

Immeasurable, boundless, and inconceivable kalpas, that is a period of kalpas far exceeding Retribution of Black Karma.

If it weren't for such a chaotic dark time-space, then it's truly unknown how long it would take for this to be completed.

Even though it has been achieved now, it has actually completely exhausted Maitreya Buddha and Maitreya Pure Land.

Before entering Nirvana, Maitreya Buddha chanted the mantra of World Honored One Tathagata.

“After the Buddha's Nirvana, the True Dharma will remain in the world for thirty-two small kalpas, widely saving all sentient beings.”

“After the True Dharma is extinguished, there will be thirty-two periods of the Dharma-resemblance, Sharira will be widely circulated, and Heavenly Gods and humans will universally make offerings.”

“What Radiant Light Buddha does, all these matters are thus; he is your very self, you should rejoice.”

The meaning of these words is simple.

After the Buddha enters Nirvana, some True Dharma can still remain in the world, but it can only continue for thirty-two small kalpas, and then… the True Dharma will gradually disappear.

When the True Dharma is also extinguished, there will still be a group of Monks who adhere to the 'Dharma-resemblance', but they can only persist for thirty-two small kalpas.

However, after that, Radiant Light Buddha will appear.

The 'after the Buddha's Nirvana' mentioned here is clearly not World Honored One Tathagata, but the Nirvana of all Buddhas.

All past Buddhas must be eradicated to create a brand new future world.

Maitreya Buddha entered Nirvana.

Dipamkara Buddha entered Nirvana.

Sariputra opened his eyes.

He had already experienced immeasurable, boundless, and inconceivable kalpas.

These times were so long that Sariputra even forgot what he looked like in the past.

However, he also knew that his wisdom had greatly increased.

In fact, before entering Nirvana, the World Honored One pointed out a clear path for him.

The Divine Ability lineage is wrong; it's impossible to save the world through Divine Ability, so wisdom is the most important.

With a direction, plus the self-sacrificing help of Maitreya Buddha and Dipamkara Buddha, and the delay provided by Medicine King Buddha, they finally helped Sariputra attain Buddhahood at the moment he was about to be perfected in the future world.

What a great sacrifice this was.

The deaths of three First Grade cultivators were merely to pave the way for Sariputra's birth.

All five Buddhas of the past have died.

The first Buddha of the future world has been born.

Once upon a time, Maitreya Buddha also achieved First Grade in this way.

He was the youngest Buddha, and he achieved Buddhahood under the care of many Seniors, and even under the protection of World Honored One Tathagata's Central Saha World.

And now, like the others, the Buddhas whose paths were denied, he facilitated the birth of Radiant Light Buddha through his own demise.

Radiant Light Buddha rose.

Behind him, the Central Saha World and all Pure Lands collapsed accordingly.

How many 'Heavens' were there in the Central Saha World?

The Four Heavenly Kings Heaven, Trayastrimsha Heaven, Yama Heaven, Tusita Heaven, Nirmanarati Heaven, the eighteen heavens of the four Dhyanas, and so on and so forth.

All the foundations of these Heavens had been exhausted by Sariputra.

These things had long been turned into empty shells by Sariputra.

To elevate a First Grade cultivator, the losses incurred were far more than just one First Grade.

But one can only place hope in the newcomers.

After Sariputra entered Nirvana, he underwent millions of Reincarnations, so much so that the 'Sariputra' part of him had long been almost completely washed away by the endless Reincarnations.

Now, he is Radiant Light Buddha, not Sariputra.

But it doesn't matter; he has attained the fruit of wisdom.

The so-called “enlightenment and seeing the truth” is actually about letting sentient beings discard the appearance of things and ponder their underlying essence, and the phrase “the Tathagata is in the heart” also comes from this.

The wisdom lineage is called 'Mahayana'.

The so-called Mahayana and Hinayana are essentially this distinction.

The 'yana' (vehicle) means carrying, referring to how many sentient beings can be carried to transcendence, how many beings can be enlightened together.

Hinayana saves oneself, using Divine Ability to transcend oneself, at most building a large boat with great Divine Ability, saving one by one, but ultimately unable to save everyone, because Divine Ability has limits.

Even Amitabha, as powerful as he is, his Western Pure Land cannot hold all sentient beings.

And Mahayana Buddha-Dharma is wisdom.

It has been said before that wisdom is like a million in wealth; this million in wealth can be used by anyone, for hundreds of thousands of years, and everyone can take from this million, everyone can become wealthy, and he still retains this million, not a single penny less.

Only wisdom, something inexhaustible and endlessly usable, can truly be 'Mahayana' and enlighten all sentient beings.

It urges them to think; when all sentient beings think, all sentient beings see their original heart, see the Tathagata in their hearts, and thus, all sentient beings are liberated, all sentient beings are free, and ultimately, all sentient beings can become Buddhas.

When you give up thinking, you also give up the qualification to become a Buddha.

Those who fall into the Demonic Dao are like this; when controlled by the Demonic Dao, they actually don't know how much they have lost. This is the consequence of being invaded and thoroughly consumed by the Demonic Dao; that invisible plunder is more bloody than traditional invasions with swords and spears.

However, most of the time, those plundered by the Demonic Dao don't know who the plunderer is, or even that they have been plundered.

Sentient beings reverse right and wrong, mistaking falsehood for truth, sinking in the sea of suffering unable to extricate themselves.

And the Buddha observes himself with wisdom, which is contemplation; with contemplation, one can be clear and bright inside and out, recognize one's original true mind, and having recognized one's original true mind, one obtains the original unhindered freedom and liberation, thus becoming a Buddha.

Buddha is not some extraordinary existence; Buddha cannot destroy the world, has no Divine Ability, and even Buddha can be an ordinary person, unable to influence the various things in this world.

A Buddha is merely a wise person who has comprehended the law of Karma; his greatest significance is to bring this wisdom to others, protecting them from such devastation.

Everyone can awaken their consciousness and become enlightened, and thus, all sentient beings are Buddhas.

Radiant Light Buddha softly said: “All sentient beings possess the wisdom of the Tathagata.”

After he spoke, on the First Grade battlefield in the distance, Shamansan and Dao Ancestor caught their breath and retreated.

Radiant Light Buddha directly faced his greatest nemesis since his birth, the Heavenly Demon.

“You have been born, which means all Buddhas have perished. You are the only Buddha in this future world… If I kill you, there will be no Buddhas in this world,” the Heavenly Demon said with some excitement.

Demon of Death didn't speak; he had already pounced forward.

Dao Ancestor, who had retreated, asked Shamansan: “Did you know about this?”

“More or less… I guess I did, but I didn't calculate it that deeply. How about it, are you going to help them?” Shamansan asked.

Dao Ancestor replied: “I just don't want the Demonic Dao to succeed. In the current situation, the birth of a new First Grade is really not a good thing. But looking at you… you don't seem to have any feelings about the Demonic Dao?”

Shamansan glanced at him; it was indeed something Dao Ancestor would say.

The birth of a new First Grade indicates that the situation has deteriorated to a certain extent.

He once said, when the Great Dao is abandoned, there is benevolence and righteousness. When wisdom emerges, there is great deception. When the six kin are not in harmony, there is filial piety and compassion.

The meaning is simple: when the situation is peaceful, there will be no heroes.

A nation that produces many heroes must be an unfortunate nation.

When this Universe begins to frequently experience Breakthroughs, and even the emergence of new First Grade cultivators, it indicates that this must be a chaotic era.

However, Shamansan didn't care: “What's the deal with demons? I really don't care. Your Dao Orthodoxy emphasizes eliminating demons, but Shaman Dao doesn't have this emphasis. I'm just calculating who will be the winner of this great war. I don't want to fight for so long only to lose miserably in the end.”

Shamansan's attitude was very clear.

Indeed, heroes can only be born in chaos.

But so what? Only in chaos are there variables, and only then does Shamansan have the opportunity to complete his plan.

“So, are you going to stop humanity?” Dao Ancestor seemed to have seen something.

“Humanity is going to help the monsters kill Haotian, and I cannot sit by and watch Haotian die,” Shamansan said. “Since the Heavenly Demon has a new Buddha and you to block him, I can free up my hands.”

After speaking, Shamansan quietly disappeared.

He was going to help Haotian, to stop the alliance of humans, demons, and brutal Heavenly Gods.

Even though the monsters had just massacred humanity, it didn't matter.

For the Great Dao Orthodoxy, there are no personal enemies.

Aside from Dao enemies, as long as there is no Dao conflict, they can actually get along well with everyone.

However, the Demonic Dao, a Dao Orthodoxy whose very path is built on the negation of external things, is an exception.

But no matter what, at this juncture, the chaotic degree of the battle situation will be completely incomprehensible to lives outside of First Grade.

Even for First Grade cultivators, the current state is hard to describe, as a First Grade has already fallen in this war.

Sometimes, effort is not for progress, but for maintaining the status quo.

Even just maintaining the status quo is already giving it one's all.

Zhu Fengdan pulled out the long spear stuck in her body.

The long spear was a minor issue; human's spear and halberd were conventional attack methods.

The main problem was the Sword Qi of the human emperor sword from before.

This thing was truly fierce. Now, the Inner World couldn't be repaired, and humanity was eroding her Dao Orthodoxy, tampering with her thoughts and perceptions; this was a form of brainwashing in a sense.

What was the state of the battle? Zhu Fengdan surveyed all the battle reports, estimating the current situation.

From the current state… Shamansan went to help the divine Dao.

Dao Ancestor wanted to suppress the Heavenly Demon.

And the Demonic Dao allied with humans, Heavenly Gods, and monsters to resist Haotian.

The True Dragons wanted to use this opportunity to destroy Taiyi.

The remaining three Buddhas of Buddhism fell to create a new Buddha of the future, Radiant Light Buddha, truly based on wisdom as the 'Mahayana', thereby completely replacing the past. Currently, Radiant Light Buddha is confronting the Heavenly Demon.

The purpose of Shaman Dao is unknown, but for now, the two 'deity'-born Shaman Gods, Da Tu and Cang Tian, are helping Haotian and blocking humanity.

Humanity, led by the new human emperor, is trying its best to seize the Dao opportunity guarded by Li Qi, hoping to strip Zombie Li Qi of the Sun-Moon Orbit that Yang Zhenqian desperately gave to Li Qi.

However, that would cause Li Qi to be unable to bear Taiyi's body, because Zhu Fengdan had already seen that this should also be a part of Taiyi's plan.

Li Qi was actually not qualified to bear Taiyi's body, but with the support of the Sun-Moon Orbit in his body structure, it helped him overcome the vast differences of Taiyi's body, which allowed Li Qi to endure.

Until these strategic points in the battle have a clear victor, the entire battlefield cannot advance. What they are doing is merely to relieve their own First Grade cultivators of some burden.

Sometimes, this saved effort might be the decisive move.

However, Zhu Fengdan still glanced at her disciple.

Zombie Li Qi silently carried Taiyi's body, integrating it through his own Inner World, the Three Realms, and the Sun-Moon Orbit, only then could he bear Taiyi.

In a sense, even the battlefield itself was taking place within Taiyi's body; although many spreading branches had separated, all space in the Reality Universe was a part of Taiyi.

What Li Qi was carrying was such an enormous body.

This was not something as tiny as a star; even the largest galaxy seemed minuscule in front of this body.

Watching her disciple carry this thing, Zhu Fengdan even felt a bit of pity. Although she knew that it was just a Zombie, a corpse.

Li Qi was already dead; what remained was merely a corpse with autonomous movement capabilities.

Heavenly Demon, Heavenly Demon…

Zhu Fengdan had always wanted Li Qi to see how far the Dao of Heavenly Gods and Shaman could merge.
