Chapter 931: Miracle among miracles

What lay before Li Qi was an aggregation of myriad desires.

Unbelievable, unimaginable.

It was just a glass orb, but Li Qi seemed to see a ‘spark’ that had been solidified.

How to describe it…

It was like an uncle who wanted to smoke walking on a country road; he picked up a match in his hand, struck it with a swish, and the match burned, releasing light and heat.

In an unknown place, at the tip of the match, in the hand of the smoking uncle, a Universe erupted because of it, burning fiercely.

The Universe on the tip of this match quickly developed consciousness due to chemical reactions, and this consciousness rapidly evolved into wisdom, becoming a race with high intelligence.

The intelligent beings in the match Universe, after long discussions and experiments (though only four or five seconds passed in the outside world), confirmed through their experiments that there was a larger Universe outside their own.

They realized they were merely a ‘Universe on a match’, and they were destined to be unable to prevent the flame’s disappearance; in just one more second (which was an incredibly long time for them), their Universe would burn out and go extinct.

Given this, the intelligent beings within the match Universe used all their might to think and discuss: what could ‘we’ do in this final, long second?

Finally, after countless discussions among the most intelligent beings of the match Universe, they unanimously decided to gather all the power of this Universe to make that final, one-time chance for self-salvation in the last moment.

The Universe within the match poured all its effort into its greatest attempt; with all life in the Universe holding their breath and watching, the Universe exploded.

In the uncle’s eyes, the flame suddenly flared up, and a small red spark shot out from his hand, trailing a beautiful dark red trajectory.

He was startled and shook his hand.

The spark thus gained immense power, flew out the window, and landed on a pile of dead leaves in the rural mountain forest.

Just like that, the pile of dead leaves was ignited.

The match Universe itself was a miracle.

And the ‘spark’ that ultimately carried everything of the match Universe and was born from it was a miracle among miracles.

In this way, a miracle among miracles ignited a third miracle.

Thus, miracles proliferated in a chain reaction.

The pile of dead leaves burned fiercely; the Universe on the match became the Universe of the dead leaves, then became the Universe of the Great Fire in the mountain forest.

To the outside world, the Universe on the match was an utterly insignificant matter, but the spark that finally erupted was the greatest attempt the beings of the Universe within the match could achieve.

Although there was a possibility of it developing into a raging inferno, the hope was very slim.

However, a miracle among miracles among miracles occurred.

The Universe continued and developed into a Great Fire in the mountain forest that the match could never have reached; the Great Fire lasted for three months, an indescribably long time for the beings of the match Universe.

Until the flames completely burned out, although the Great Fire in the mountain forest burned for a long time, it would also end.

Finally, the Universe of the Great Fire in the mountain forest, learning from their Seniors, erupted countless sparks, and sparks flew across the sky; although 99.9999% of them would dissipate in the wind, perhaps some lucky sparks could ignite another Great Fire in the mountain forest, allowing the Universe to continue.

The event was roughly like that.

The so-called spark is actually the last remaining life in a destroyed Universe, a kindling poured out with all their might for the birth of the next Universe.

Li Qi noticed that the glass bead in Shamansan’s hand was a ‘spark’.

A spark of the Desire Realm.

Even the beings of the Desire Realm, they are also highly intelligent.

They did not give up even at the moment the Desire Realm was shattered by the Golden Monkey’s single blow.

These intelligent beings, in their final moments, explored why their Universe perished.

But they ultimately found that they did not know.

They possessed intelligence beyond their level, they were already able to exist outside the law of Karma, they were superior to Mortals, and could even break the laws of the Universe and create new Universes.

These intelligent beings of the Desire Realm believed that they, being such, would never encounter a destructive crisis.

But when that blow struck, they discovered that they were extinguished due to some unimaginable reason, a reason that couldn’t even be called a reason.

It was achieved through a very peculiar method, so much so that even those who transcended the law of Karma could not comprehend it.

All their possibilities were completely sealed, unable to approach the cause of their extinction.

It was as if, at the beginning of the Universe, it had already been predetermined.

Their extinction was decisive, it was inevitable.

Their extinction process was perfectly complete, self-proving, and transcended self-reference.

Their future held no possibility of not being extinguished.

They once roamed the Universe, fabricating galaxies, toying with civilizations, wantonly creating everything they needed, believing themselves to be boundless, capable of anything.

But the sudden extinction went beyond the scope of what their own possibilities could describe.

They perished due to some absolutely unknowable reason, to the point that the reason itself was unknowable; possibility here closed in on itself.

No matter how many times they re-thought it, they could not understand their own demise.

The demise of the highly intelligent beings within the Desire Realm largely happened this way.

But… if the cause of demise is truly unknowable, if the outcome of demise is destined to be unavoidable…

“Then, in the very end, please let ‘us’ leave a seed.”

On another side of space-time, they made their final attempt, leaving their last words, and finally a spark fell into Li Qi’s hand.

Li Qi felt the existence of ‘Karma’.

If the destruction of the Desire Realm was because he liberated the demon monkey, then it seemed natural for this spark, this glass bead, to fall into his hands.

Li Qi reached out and took the glass bead from Shamansan’s hand.

He felt its weight.

In the shattered Universe, they struggled to climb, but fell to pieces, then continued to climb, endlessly; those shattered intervals were filled with countless stories, but because the outcome was predetermined, everything that happened in the stories was unimportant, after all, the ending was already written.

No matter what happened in between, no matter what efforts were made, what sacrifices were paid, the ending was written from the beginning, just like a book where the ending is written first and then the beginning; no matter how many stories are interspersed in between, there will ultimately only be one ending.

However, the spark was ultimately left behind, their efforts were not meaningless.

It was evident that this was an item created by many Fourth Grade beings, using all their might; if the environment was suitable, it might truly give birth to the next Desire Realm.

The next Desire Realm?

Really?

The essence of the Desire Realm is Second Grade; can something like this truly be created by a Fourth Grade?

Li Qi played with the Desire Realm in confusion, his heart filled with questions; True Knowledge Dao Resonance continuously scanned the glass bead, trying to find clues within it.

“This was given to you by the Heavenly Demon,” Shamansan said at this moment.

Li Qi frowned: “Why give it to me?”

“You’ll have to ask the Heavenly Demon about that, but, because of you, there’s been some rather special cooperation between Shaman Dao and the Demonic Dao, and as part of that cooperation, this item is for you,” Shamansan said.

“The Demonic Dao isn’t that simple; they might even be cooperating with the Human Path, which isn’t a good thing, Senior Shamansan, be careful,” Li Qi warned.

He knew his warning was actually useless, because Shamansan surely considered things more thoroughly and knew more than he did.

Li Qi’s warning was merely to express his stance.

“Of course they’re cooperating with the Human Path; I can even imagine that you’ll soon become a focal point of conflict, receiving special attention from the Human Path, after all, Sun-Moon Orbit is very important to the Human Path,” Shamansan said with a smile.

“Everyone says it’s important, but what exactly is so important about this item? The Human Path shouldn’t have only one First Grade, right?” Li Qi asked.

“The importance of Sun-Moon Orbit? You should have already seen Celestial Pole, haven’t you? What do you think?” Shamansan retorted to Li Qi.

“It’s very powerful, indeed worthy of the greatness of a First Grade; the essence of Celestial Pole is the definition of motion, but… I think other First Grades shouldn’t be bad, right?” Li Qi said.

“Indeed, they are not bad, but Sun-Moon Orbit has a very good ingenious use, which is that the Dao path of Sun-Moon Orbit can change the direction of space-time and motion, causing all things to spontaneously advance towards higher energy levels. This characteristic can compensate for a weakness of the Human Emperor, allowing the Human Emperor to live for a few more years,” Shamansan easily revealed the secret to Li Qi.

“Allow the Human Emperor to live longer? Merely by energy level? That doesn’t seem right; if the Human Emperor’s lifespan is limited solely by energy issues, then couldn’t creating new matter out of nothing compensate for that?” Li Qi asked in confusion.

If the Human Emperor’s problem was merely a lack of energy, then creating new energy would suffice; this shouldn’t be difficult for the Human Path. Even if it truly couldn’t create something out of nothing due to the Dao path, it could just snatch from others; if you have it, I have it.

“It’s not a problem of energy, but a problem of spontaneity,” Shamansan explained.

Li Qi understood, nodding gently to indicate that he grasped it.

It’s not a problem of energy, but a problem of spontaneity, which means that even infinite energy, reaching a truly ‘infinite energy level,’ cannot prevent the Human Emperor’s decline.

The amount of energy is irrelevant.

The key is that it must be able to reverse the Human Emperor’s inherent trend of decline, causing this trend to be reversed overall.

If the Human Emperor’s void is negative infinity, then filling it with positive infinity will essentially not change anything, because imaginary numbers cannot be placed in an addition sign.

To reverse an infinite trend, the trend itself must be reversed entirely.

Only Sun-Moon Orbit can probably achieve this.

This suddenly made Li Qi think of another matter—

Celestial Pole is the ‘midpoint’.

On the left and right sides of the ‘midpoint’, there are positive infinity and negative infinity respectively; Celestial Pole can adjust its own position, thereby manipulating the relationship between the two.

It’s like the 0 point on a straight line.

Then, isn’t this defining ‘Yin and Yang’?

With the 0 point as the center, if the negative number region is defined as Yin and the positive number region as Yang, then Celestial Pole, as the midpoint, freely defines Yin and Yang.

Because Celestial Pole can be moved.

When Celestial Pole moves from 0 to positive 10, then positive 10 becomes the new 0 point.

Numbers from 1 to 9 will all become negative.

Moreover, since both ends of the number line are infinite, no matter how Celestial Pole moves, both sides are always symmetrical, and Yin and Yang are always balanced, because the order of a number line is always equal; it’s impossible for the same number line to have two different orders of infinity.

Even if Celestial Pole moves the midpoint to positive one trillion or negative one trillion, compared to the infinite ends of the number line, it will always be the midpoint, always balanced.

Because infinity minus one hundred trillion is still infinity, the trend will not change at all; things in the real number Domain cannot affect the Domain of infinity at all.

But for those real number points, reality has indeed changed.

Only Celestial Pole remains unchanged; other things have changed drastically.

The entire number line itself, all real number points, can be defined this way, then… a Third Grade itself can only be said to be one of these real number points, right?

A Third Grade itself can define the number line as a real number point, but in front of Celestial Pole and Sun-Moon Orbit, it still seems too insignificant.

“Can Yin and Yang and the Taiji diagram also manifest here? It’s truly far-fetched, yet surprisingly reasonable,” Li Qi sighed.

“Don’t sigh, it’s inauspicious,” Shamansan suddenly said.

Li Qi looked at Shamansan with subtle eyes.

Would a First Grade also find it inauspicious?

“Don’t look at me like that; sometimes, the more powerful one is, the more one feels the importance of metaphysics, especially for us Shamanes; isn’t the sixth sense that constantly rings out enough revelation?” Shamansan smiled slightly.

Li Qi seemed to understand the other party’s meaning.

Shamansan was telling him that when he was unsure, he might as well trust his intuition.

So, Li Qi looked at the glass bead in front of him.

Then, he held the glass bead and said, “I will use this thing at the appropriate time.”

“I haven’t told you how to use it yet,” Shamansan smiled.

“No need; if it’s decided by me, then my way of using it is the correct one,” Li Qi replied.

Shamansan nodded: “Since that’s the case, then do as you wish. Don’t go into seclusion recently, don’t rest; the Human Path might come at any time. As for fighting… you can take a temporary vacation.”

“Okay,” Li Qi nodded.

Then, Li Qi disappeared without a trace.

After a vacation of several hundred million years, he could finally catch his breath, though on the timeline of the real world, only over ten thousand years had passed.

So… over ten thousand years had passed.

How were Yao Ji, Shi Wei, and La Qi doing now?

Thinking this, Li Qi’s body vanished from its spot.
