Chapter 932: Wonderful starry sky

La Qi had experienced many, many adventures recently.

After tens of thousands of years of effort, he finally reached the Sixth Grade.

His speed was not fast, but his foundation was stable and solid.

He once engaged in schemes and the Law of the jungle with others during these interstellar wars and under the Law of the jungle.

He witnessed many grand ceremonies of aliens and delved into them, exploring their civilizations.

The peaceful life in the world of superpowers.

The Great Shaman War.

The Shadow World and confronting himself.

Exploring ghost ships in the starry sky.

Pioneering in space, facing harsh natural environments for wilderness survival.

Finding a way to comprehend the Dao on completely different planets.

And so on, La Qi experienced many, many things.

Of course, there were also very dangerous things, for example, suddenly joining a major power transition of a certain civilization, supporting a certain prince due to personal connections, which led to a game of 'Nine Dragons Seizing the Heir' and almost getting killed.

Or he and Li Shiwei fell into a dangerous Return to Ruin's End, which seemed to be a tidal force energy source built by a high-level civilization. They created a mirror space that could not do work externally, allowing the tidal force to be perfectly exerted, and the parts would not wear out, allowing for unlimited energy generation using the Return to Ruin's End tides.

In a mirror space without friction and unable to do work externally, it was impossible to exert any force, not even recoil, so they could only watch themselves being pulled into the Return to Ruin's End by gravity.

If they were dragged in, people would die.

However, by utilizing sufficient knowledge of physics, La Qi adjusted his posture, changed his force reception, and used the tidal force and rotation of the Return to Ruin's End to transform from 'falling into' to 'gliding past,' finally successfully creating a gravitational slingshot to propel himself out of the mirror space.

This was truly a race against time; it only took two quarters of an hour from falling in to being flung out. A slightly slower reaction would have meant death.

But no matter what...

Interstellar space is beautiful, magnificent, and interesting.

He had only explored seven or eight star clusters, and most of them were cursory glances, but even so, this Universe was interesting enough to make La Qi linger.

Compared to his native high-dimensional world, this three-dimensional world was even more exciting.

Indeed, there were too few changes in this world. Compared to his native world, the changes that a three-dimensional world could produce were so limited, and its complexity was too low.

But what was exciting was not the complexity, but 'wisdom.'

In the original world, there was only one type of life, the Manifold Race, because other ordinary life could not survive in such extremely high-energy and high-dimensional conditions. For life, too much complexity is not necessarily a good thing.

But in a three-dimensional world, the diversity of life and high-level wisdom is even more dazzling.

Wisdom itself is very exciting.

After La Qi realized this, he grew to like exploring this world even more.

When navigating through interstellar space, the blurry, dark Universe space stretched endlessly, like a calm, windless sea, vast but uninteresting, with no changes whatsoever.

However, if you look closely at those faint lights, they are stars.

Under the almost invisible faint light of the stars, on those tiny dust particles made of rock or metal, on the dust called 'planets,' water and air enveloped them.

These dust particles rotated in sunlight and darkness, and on their tiny surfaces, generation after generation, countless lives lived in toil and ignorance, occasionally with joy, and sometimes with clear minds. Their entire history, including the consciousness of all beings, the Empire's hegemony, great technology, social changes, and an increasingly strong desire to explore the outside world, glittered.

Although, all these desires, for the life on the planet, were but a single moment.

On the surface of countless twinkling planets—

On small spheres made of rock and metal found everywhere in the Universe.

Precious things reside upon them.

Wisdom, love, and foolishness are part of the movement of the Universe.

This is true movement, not the ordinary movement of matter due to the fundamental Laws of the Universe, but a true movement galloping freely on the sea of possibilities.

It is uncontrolled, just as wisdom itself cannot be controlled. What is called brainwashing and hypnosis is the destruction of wisdom, not the control of wisdom.

Wisdom cannot be controlled. Those seemingly ordinary but most precious spirits are the true wealth of the Universe.

Indeed, these wisdoms are imperfect; they cannot even guarantee correct thinking. These are tiny, merely a very small microcosm of the many possibilities that exist.

They are extremely susceptible to unrest caused by hatred, fear, and pain, easily disturbed like a water surface ruffled by the wind.

However, wisdom will soon, with its immeasurable power, strengthen its fleeting, spark-like existence. The desire for longevity and exploration will make these short-lived lives more solid.

Thus, these movements, in turn, increase the activity of the Universe, transforming it from a 'stagnant pool of movement' into a true 'sea of possibilities.'

Think about it, if the Universe had no high-level wisdom within it...

Then, the planets orbiting, the stars spinning, all of this would actually be fixed, wouldn't it? There would be nothing strange about it. If left alone, there wouldn't be much change. Although called movement, it's actually just a 'static cycle,' like a constantly repeating GIF.

And with high-level wisdom, there is true 'movement.'

This is La Qi's current thought, and it is also the source of his motivation to explore this Universe.

Accompanying him on his explorations were Li Shiwei, Yao Ji, and Stone.

La Qi and Stone have a very good relationship. Stone is an excellent older brother, rational and friendly, intelligent and steady, able to take jokes, and very good at fighting. The two of them actually get along very well.

Due to the innate nature of the Manifold Race, although La Qi's personality is very steady, his thinking is very divergent. The Manifold Race is good at change, and so is their thinking. Although La Qi's personality is like this, he is good at multi-threaded thinking and information processing, and not good at focusing on the same thing.

After all, for the Manifold Race, inability to change, loss of change, means 'death.'

And Stone happened to be able to compensate for this, so La Qi naturally took him as an object of learning.

As for Li Shiwei...

How to put it, this Senior Sister always gives La Qi a feeling of being a 'stubborn weirdo.' Is she tsundere?

She clearly has many ideas and thoughts, and she's not a bad person, but she's just full of childishness. She always holds opposing views or acts alone.

The reason... La Qi can't explain it, because La Qi feels there's no reason at all, never any reason.

The reason she holds opposing views is simply due to her stubbornness. If everyone agrees, then she starts to be unwilling.

However, La Qi knew that deep down, she might always have this thought:

That is, when everyone forgets about it, she will be willing.

Because of this childishness, La Qi actually felt very awkward getting along with Li Shiwei. He always felt... Master gave birth to a very troublesome Senior Sister. This woman... is so much trouble.

But compared to the other one, La Qi still preferred Senior Sister. At least Senior Sister just disliked conforming, her heart was still kind, and she wouldn't deliberately do anything bad. She just liked to be difficult, and in most cases, Big Brother Stone could persuade her.

Stone was probably the only one who could persuade Senior Sister, even Master couldn't. La Qi always felt that these two would get married someday.

But Yao Ji was different.

Yao Ji loved excitement and loved to show herself off. She seemed very cheerful and likable, and easy to get along with, but... if you truly got to know her, you would discover that beneath her beautiful and alluring exterior lay a trembling indifference and aloofness.

As a high-dimensional being and Young Master of Shaman God Mountain, La Qi was fine; at least Yao Ji could look up to him.

But towards other Mortals, the attitude Yao Ji displayed made La Qi's heart turn cold.

Complete disregard, neither goodwill nor malice, purely based on her mood at the time, she could play and destroy at will.

In a battle between ants and butterflies, she would sometimes choose to catch the butterfly and then throw it to the ants to eat.

This was neither out of malice towards the butterfly nor fondness for the ants; she just did it casually. If you say she was happy, she wasn't really happy; it wouldn't cause any emotional fluctuations in her.

It was truly just... casual.

No purpose, no emotional value, not because of liking, not because of disliking, no reason. It was probably similar to putting a cup aside after drinking water, just her fingers being a bit idle and looking for something to do.

Although, in terms of actual performance, she destroyed many civilizations simply because of 'casualness.' During her travels with La Qi, La Qi also had several conflicts with her because of this.

Alas, Yao Ji looks beautiful, but in reality... it's hard to say.

Are all Heavenly Gods like this?

Not necessarily. Reading books and listening to Master, Haotian is actually a very gentle existence, so why is Yao Ji so malicious?

He couldn't understand.

However, these were all things that happened in the past.

Now, La Qi had a new crisis.

Before, he woke up to find himself in a huge maze made of megaliths, surrounded by a large number of other species.

A mysterious voice told them to play some kind of game here.

La Qi was very curious and decided to participate. Although he didn't want to participate, he had no choice because he couldn't get out.

In the end, many people died, and it turned out to be a competition to select certain individuals.

And La Qi won in the end.

So, now La Qi, having won, was in contact with this mysterious entity.

The other party was clearly of a high grade, but La Qi couldn't see through him.

"You are... the creator of this maze, aren't you?" La Qi looked at the other party.

It was a stone statue, carved to resemble a catfish-like creature.

"Yes, but can you actually understand?" the catfish asked.

"Ah, I've seen similar things," La Qi said, twisting his body.

His originally 'humanoid' body suddenly transformed into a high-dimensional blob of goo, then began to fold, and quickly took on the appearance of the stone statue before him.

This was a perfect transformation technique, comparable to a demon's 'Incarnation.'

It could even achieve spiritual resemblance without physical resemblance, meaning that although it didn't have the other's appearance, it could do exactly the same things as the other, such as opening the same fingerprint lock with a different fingerprint during fingerprint verification.

"Your body is very good, and you have also passed my test," the catfish stone statue said.

"So?" La Qi unfolded his body, becoming a strange mass of lines.

"So, it's mine," the stone statue said, its thoughts invading La Qi's body.

"Ah, Demonic Dao, is it? I woke up and found myself in here. Such things can indeed only be done by the Demonic Dao," La Qi exclaimed.

"You know quite a lot, but you are merely a foreign commoner," the catfish said, and then its demonic thoughts invaded La Qi's mind.

He was preparing to Possess this strange race.

As for danger?

No, he had already deduced it with secret methods. The other party had a common background and no special origins, which was why he dared to capture him into this mind maze.

Moreover, a mere Sixth Grade could not resist his invasion. As long as he Possessed the other party, he would have ninety-nine thousand Incarnations that he had Possessed.

Ninety-nine thousand different special races, perceiving 'subjectivity' with ninety-nine thousand unique senses, could advance his Fifth Grade Dao, considered a small step on the path to the Fourth Grade.

As he planned this, La Qi, who was being invaded, suddenly shouted to the sky: "Senior Sister! Help!"

The demonic thoughts was directly blocked.

Through the top of the maze, a ray of light pierced the sky.

Looking up from that beam of light, one could seem to see endless night, a perpetual night where the sun and stars stood shoulder to shoulder.

There, star clusters were densely packed like deep-sea fish.

The two skies seemed to merge here, forming a hollow, dark sphere filled with stars, black even next to the dazzling sun, and beside it was a crescent moon, like a silver-white sickle.

This was a Dharma Idol.

Accompanying the appearance of this Dharma Idol, a sudden dizziness struck.

It was the gaze from another Demonic Dao practitioner.

Li Shiwei.

--------

After a while, the battle ended.

"Phew, quite a harvest! We've resolved another major crisis this time. Senior Sister, your Demonic Dao methods are really amazing," La Qi stretched his limbs, his body flickering like a mosaic before returning to normal.

"A major crisis? The scope only involves this Observable Universe, it's nothing, right?" Li Shiwei replied coolly.

"It's a lot! By eliminating this Demonic Dao practitioner, the beings in this Universe are safe. Isn't that a good thing?" La Qi said.

Yao Ji next to him looked bored, seemingly not very interested in saving the world.

"Of course, it's a good thing," a voice said at this moment.

The three people and one stone all jolted.

They saw Li Qi already standing beside them. (End of chapter)
